For my application project I chose two topics because I felt they coincide with each other.  How can you pray without having gratitude in your heart?

My goal was to say my morning and evening prayers with remembering to express my appreciation for my many blessings that have occurred in my daily life. By doing this I was able to recognize more of the Lord's hand in my life. When I forgot to say my prayers my day did not go as well as when I did. Did I dutifully write down in the calendar when I said my prayers? Yes, in the beginning I did. Towards the end I was just trying to stay above water.  I am not sure I would have survived this semester without the Lord's hand in my life. I was prompted to reach out when I couldn't get assignments turned in on time with my daughter's wedding.  That was hard for me to ask. I had never been late on assignment since I started Pathway. I have always tried my best, even though there were times I wanted to give up. I did not do my best with Phase 3 but under the circumstances it was good enough for me and I have grown a lot. I have seen my own desire to reach out to my Heavenly Father and I know I can accomplish great things with his help. I want to express my gratitude for my Heavenly Father's hand in my life. I want to return to him someday and I want my children to be there along with their eternal families. No greater happiness will be found outside the walls of my home.
